NEW EXHIBITOR?
Are you new to showing cats? Is this your first cat show as an exhibitor?
Never fear, we are here to help! More info...
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: FELINE Health
- This is a Non-Vetted Show.
- Every cat that enters the show hall must conform
to normally-accepted health requirements and be up-to-date on its vaccinations
(FVRCP and rabies). Rabies vaccination is required in the state
of Washington, per Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 246-100-197.
- Front and back claws must be clipped. If a cat's claws are not clipped,
it can be disqualified by the judges.
- Adult household pets must be neutered or
spayed.
- Any cats showing evidence of fleas, ear or fur mites, fungus or illness
will be removed from the show hall. In case of disqualification by a
veterinarian, TICA rules require that all other entries owned or agented by the
responsible exhibitor will forfeit their place in the show hall and must be
removed as well.
- Cats from households with contagious or infectious illnesses
within the last 21 days are ineligible for entry.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are anticipating
having one or more rescues at the show with kittens and cats available
for adoption. Because we have no idea what these cats and kittens may
have been exposed to during their lives, it is HIGHLY recommended that
your entries be up-to-date on their vaccines. All rescue cats and
kittens will have current vaccinations, be wormed, and tested for
FELV/FIV. They will be in a separate section from the main exhibitor
benching. Some will probably also be entered in the show.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Age/Birthdate
- To compete on both Saturday & Sunday, a kitten must be 4 calendar months old — must have been
born on or before
August 12, 2026, and not earlier than April 13, 2026.
To compete on Sunday only, a kitten must have been
born on or before
August 13, 2026, but not earlier than April 14, 2026.
(Cats
8 calendar months or older will compete in the adult/alter classes.)
- To be allowed in the show hall, kittens must be 3 calendar months old — must have been born on or
before
September
13, 2026.
Note:
If the Entry Clerk requests it, a TICA litter
registration must be provided at the time of entry. Any
kitten without proof of age will not be entered in the show, nor will it be
allowed in the show hall.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Registration with TICA
For most registered breeds and household pets, registration with TICA is not necessary to compete
in the cat's first show, but is required for the 2nd and subsequent shows,
and for confirmation of championships and TICA regional and international
awards. Contact TICA for specific registration
procedures.
In order for an unregistered entry to be shown in the Kitten,
Championship or Alter class, it must be eligible for
registration and competition in TICA in the class in
which it is to be shown. You will need to provide proof of
eligibility when you enter the cat. (More
info here.)
ALL Preliminary New Breeds (PNB), Advanced New Breeds (ANB) and
New Traits (NT) must have a TICA registration number prior
to entry in any TICA show; no Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New
Breed or New Trait may enter a show with a "pending" TICA registration.
Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Household Pets
Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete. Household Pets from 4 to 8 months old are entered in the Household Pet Kitten
class and can be either altered or unaltered. All Household Pets 8 months of age
or older must be altered (neutered or spayed), and will compete in the adult
Household Pet class
Household pet kittens must be 4
calendar months (not 16 weeks) of age to compete:
- To compete on both Saturday & Sunday, the kitten must have been born on or before
August 12, 2026, and not earlier than April 13, 2026.
- To compete on Sunday only, the kitten must have been born on or before
August 13, 2026, but not earlier than April 14, 2026.
Please contact the entry clerk if you are not sure how to describe your cat's color, or
if you have any questions about how to fill out the entry form.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Co-Owned Cats
Co-owned cats are eligible for the multi-cat entry discounts only
if a copy of the cat's TICA registration accompanies the cat's entry. The
registration must show the names of both co-owners. (If you are entering such a
cat online, please email a copy of
the registration to the entry clerk in order to receive these discounts.)
TICA SCORING
This show will be scored for TICA Regional and International Awards and
titles. Individuals who
reside in isolated areas will have their cats scored for titles under
isolated status. The rest will be regular scoring.
BENCHING & CAGES
Show cages: Normal show cages measure 21 x 21 for a
single, 21 x 44 x 21 for a double. The benching space will be about 24 x 48.
This is not a strictly "Bring Your Own Cage" show, but you are welcome to
bring your own cage, as long as it fits your benching space.
If you would like to
use a wire/metal club cage, please indicate that you would like to rent one on
your Summary Sheet. The club will set up your borrowed cage in your benching
area and will tear it down at the end of the show for you.
This is a small hall, so aisles will be narrow. Please keep your chair
parallel to the cages. Please do not bring oversized chairs or separate
grooming tables to the show hall. We will have padded chairs for all
exhibitors.
Benching cage details:
- All cage spaces are sold in double-space increments (24" x 44").
- Personal show cages must fit within this space.
- All cages must be covered on the top and three sides for the comfort
of the cats. This does not apply to grooming spaces, which are 24" x 44"
and will be available to everyone on a first come, first serve basis.
- You are also required to bring a tablecloth/covering for the width
of your space and to the floor. Table height is 30".
Cage capacity: Per TICA rules, a double cage (24"x 44") can contain a
maxiumum of 2 cats, 1 cat + 2 kittens, or 4 kittens.
Grooming spaces: Grooming spaces for this show will
measure 22" x 22" due to the smaller show hall. Thank you for
understanding our space limitations.
Benching requests: Benching requests MUST be clearly
indicated on the summary sheet. The entry clerk will make every attempt to honor
your benching request; however, the club does not guarantee that all
benching requests can be honored due to space limitations and show hall
configuration.
All exhibitors will be assigned benching. Do not change your
benching postion without permission of the Entry Clerk and Show
Manager. This is a small hall, and space will be at a premium. We will do
all that we can to accommodate benching requests.
Handicapped (ADA) exhibitors will receive preferential and
free "front of hall" and/or "end of row" benching, if requested under
"benching request" and
depending on availability. All other such requests will be benched on a
first-come, first-served, space-available basis and for an additional fee
(see Summary Sheet). Please note that special benching is provided on an
as-available, first-come, first-served basis (even for handicapped
individuals). There are only so many "front of hall" and "end of row" spots!
Persons with ADA have first priority for end-of-row spots. Ring Clerks
and stewards have second priority, and people paying the extra fee third
priority.
Show Catalogs
An electronic copy of the exhibitor show catalog is FREE and will be emailed
to each exhibitor on the Thursday before the show.
Hardcopy/printed show catalogs can be purchased in advance via the
Summary Sheet.
No
catalogs will be available for sale in the show hall.
The official marked catalog will be
posted shortly after the show on the And A
Mouse club website.
The show committee accepts
no responsibility for catalog errors due to illegibility or mistakes on the
entry form.
Ring Clerks & Ring Stewards
We always need ring clerks and stewards.
Clerks do the bookwork of the ring and keep the ring going running
smoothly.
- Stewards keep the cages nice and clean. Youths can be great choices
for stewards, but must be able to quietly do their job and not interrupt
ring operation.
- Clerks will be paid $25 per session; stewards earn $20 per
session. All payments will be paid at the end of the day, and raffle
tickets in lieu of payment are also an option. Both clerks and stewards
will also receive lunch and liquid refreshments compliments of the club.
- Clerking or stewarding is a great way to see all of the cats in the
show up close and hear what the judges have to say about them. Junior
Exhibitors can also earn extra points towards regional awards for
clerking or stewarding.
If you would like to clerk or steward, please indicate that on your
summary sheet. Priority and ring choice will be given to TICA Licensed
Clerks.
Note: We will be using the TICA app for clerking.
Food and Litter
Cat litter will be provided. Please bring your own cat food, food
and water dishes, and litter pans.
People food — There is no snack bar in this building,
and the one in the main pavilion might not be open. We will be providing a $15
hot lunch buffet for exhibitors if ordered and paid in advance (see the
Summary Sheet). There are a few restaurants in the
area as well. You may also bring your own snacks and drinks.
SHOW PHOTOGRAPHER
There will be no photographer at this show, due to space limitations.
