IMPORTANT: By entering this show (by submitting a Summary Sheet, cat entry, or payment) you agree to abide by
all health rules,
all TICA rules and all club rules.
Anyone not complying with these rules will be required to leave the show without refund of any monies paid.
SHOW HOURS
Please see the box in the left column for detailed show hours. Anyone leaving before
the scheduled show hours are over, or before judging is completed, must get
show manager approval first, in order to retain any awards.
ENTRY LIMITS
The official entry limit is 225 cats. But, we probably don't have that
much space in the hall. We will fill the available space and close at that
point.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: FELINE Health
This is a Non-vetted Show. Every cat that enters the show hall must conform
to normally accepted health requirements and be up-to-date on its vaccinations.
All entries should be vaccinated against Feline Enteritus, Rhinotracheitis and
Calicivirus, and must test negative for FELV. Rabies vaccination is required in
the State of Washington; it is advised that you bring your rabies vaccination
records. Application of the law is subject to the enforcement by the reporting
officer. Front and back claws must be clipped. If a cat's claws are not clipped,
it can be disqualified by the judges. Adult household pets must be neutered or
spayed. Any cats showing evidence of fleas, ear or fur mites, fungus or illness
will be removed from the show hall. In case of disqualification by a
veterinarian, TICA rules require that all other entries owned or agented by the
responsible exhibitor will forfeit their place in the show hall and must be
removed as well. Cats from households with contagious or infectious illnesses
within the last 21 days are ineligible for entry.
- To compete on both Saturday & Sunday, a kitten must be 4 calendar months old — must have been
born on or before
December 26, 2024.
To compete on Sunday only, a kitten must have been
born on or before
December 27, 2024.
(Cats
8 calendar months or older will be shown in the adult/alter classes.)
- To be allowed in the show hall, kittens must be 3 calendar months old — must have been born on or
before
January 26, 2025.
Note:
If the Entry Clerk requests it, a TICA litter
registration must be provided at the time of entry. Any
kitten without proof of age will not be entered in the show, nor will it be
allowed in the show hall.
For most registered breeds and household pets, registration with TICA is not necessary to compete
in the cat's first show, but is required for the 2nd and subsequent shows,
and for confirmation of championships and TICA regional and international
awards. Contact TICA for specific registration
procedures.
In order for an unregistered entry to be shown in the Kitten,
Championship or Alter class, it must be eligible for
registration and competition in TICA in the class in
which it is to be shown. You will need to provide proof of
eligibility when you enter the cat. (More
info here.)
ALL Preliminary New Breeds (PNB), Advanced New Breeds (ANB) and
New Traits (NT) must have a TICA registration number prior
to entry in any TICA show; no Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New
Breed or New Trait may enter a show with a "pending" TICA registration.
Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete.
Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete. All Household Pets over 8 months of age must be altered (neutered or spayed). Household Pets from 4 to 8 months old are entered in the Household Pet Kitten
class and can be either altered or unaltered.
Household pet kittens must be 4
calendar months (not 16 weeks) of age to compete:
- To compete on both Saturday & Sunday, the kitten must have been born on or before
December 26, 2024.
- To compete on Sunday only, the kitten must have been born on or before
December 27, 2024.
Please contact the entry clerk if you are not sure how to describe your cat's color, or
if you have any questions about how to fill out the entry form.
Cats co-owned by members of two different households are eligible for the multi-cat entry discounts only
if a Xerox copy of the cat's TICA registration accompanies the cat's
entry. The registration must show the names of both co-owners. (If you are
entering such a cat online, you must fax, mail, or email a copy of
the registration to the entry clerk in order to receive these discounts.)
TICA SCORING
This show will be scored for TICA Regional and International Awards and
titles. All shows at this time are back to regular scoring. Individuals who
reside in isolated areas will have their cats scored for titles under
isolated status. The rest will be regular scoring.
All exhibitors will be assigned benching. No benching positions can be
changed without the permission of the show management.
Benching Requests: Benching requests MUST be clearly
indicated on the summary sheet; only one benching request/name per exhibitor.
If you list more than one request/name, only the first
will be considered. The entry clerk will make every attempt to honor
your benching request; however, the club does not guarantee that all
benching requests can be honored due to space limitations and show hall
configuration. Handicapped exhibitors will receive preferential and free
"front of hall" benching, if requested. All other "front of hall" requests will be
benched on a first-come, first-served, space available basis at a cost of
$15.
Cage size: The club's cages are 21" tall, 21" deep, and 45" wide
(= double cage). Each has a 3" thick divider in the middle, which can be easily be
moved aside to use as one large
cage, or the divider can be folded out to split it into 2 cages if you need to separate multiple cats.
Every "odd numbered" entry includes a double cage space. Benching is sold in
increments of double cage space only!
Personal Cages: If you plan to use your personal cage, please ensure
that you will have enough space to accommodate its width. If your cage is
wider than 45", you may need to purchase additional space. The maximum depth
for a personal cage is 24" deep; if your cage is deeper than 24", it will
not fit on our 24" deep tables. If you plan to use your personal cage,
please note this on the summary sheet.
You will want to bring a blanket and bedding for your cat to be
comfortable.
Exhibition/For Sale Cages: Exhibition cages are standard (double) cage size (21" tall, 21"
deep, and 45" wide).
Other Cage Requirements
- The top, floor, sides, and back of each benching cage must be covered.
- Per TICA rules, only one cat or two kittens per single cage, and two cats or four kittens per double cage.
We hope to have a photographer at this show. We have been in contact with
several. Watch this space for news on the subject.
We have space for several rescue and adoption organizations to educate
the general public and to place animals in their permanent homes.
Sponsorships are also available so that some of these animals can also be
entered in the show and thus showcased. Send a cat to its new home with
some titles too! Rescue and adoption groups check with show management
about entering cats in the show.
Hardcopy/printed show catalogs can be purchased at a
cost of $10 each and must be pre-ordered and requested on the Summary Sheet. No
catalogs will be available for sale in the show hall.
An electronic copy of the exhibitor show catalog is FREE and will be emailed
to each exhibitor no later than 24 hours before the start of the show.
The show committee accepts
no responsibility for catalog errors due to illegibility or mistakes on the
entry form.
MISCELLANEOUS: Ring Clerks & Ring Stewards
If you would like to clerk, please indicate this on the
Summary Sheet. We will do our best to place clerks with the
judges they request, but can make no guarantees. (We try, whenever possible, to
keep 2-day clerks in the same ring all days, as this makes it much easier to
bench clerks near their rings.) Clerking assignments will be made once
entries close.
Clerks will receive lunch, plus $40, for each
full day of clerking. Clerks will be paid after clerking,
at the end of the judging day; please do not deduct clerking fees from your entry
form. Preference will be given to those in the clerking program.
If you have a child who would
like to steward, please indicate this on the Summary Sheet. We
will do our best to place stewards with the judges they request, but can make no
guarantees. Stewards will receive lunch,
plus $25 per ring, for each full day of stewarding. Preference will be
given to Junior members.
Cat litter will be provided. Please bring your own cat food, food dishes and litter pans.
People food — There will be people food available in the
show hall. We will have a coffee bar. There is also a Starbucks and a couple of
fast food places near the show hall. There are a few restaurants in the area as
well. We will break for lunch to allow people to obtain food and beverages. You may also bring your own snacks and drinks.
This cat show is licensed, sanctioned and scored by The International
Cat Association. As such, it is subject to their Bylaws, Show Rules and
Breed Standards; those are available from the TICA Executive Office at
P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, Texas 78551 as well as being posted on the
TICA Website http://www.tica.org. By
entering this show, all exhibitors agree to abide to the decisions of
the Show Committee and the Judges.
Minor exhibitors must be
accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult, acting as a guardian,
as agreed to on the TOES entry form during the entry process.
And A Mouse Cat Club, its members, TICA, the contracted show hotel,
the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds, and its staff and representatives
will be held harmless for any injury, loss, illness, or damage to/of
exhibitors, cats, property of exhibitors, vendors or other such persons
or property in attendance.
